Delivering sporty performance and enhanced features, Kia Motors has been one of the top car manufacturers in the industry. Among many of the models in its line, Kis Seltos is one of the popular ones initially introduced in 2019.

Kia Seltos depicts confidence-boosting safety features, modern design, and passenger-focused amenities, sure to support life’s everyday demands. Today, if you look at the model lineup, it is available in two main trims lines - Tech-Line and GT-Line.

KIA SELTOS TECH-LINE AND GT-LINE: WHAT'S DIFFERENT?

These two distinct style Tech-Line and GT-Line has a lot to offer as a compact SUV. But what's so different between the two models? And which fits your budget the most?

Exterior Design

At first glance, it is difficult to tell those two models apart. For a second, they both have LED headlamps, DRLs, a knurled chrome grille up front, LED tail lamps at the back, and body cladding all around. So what's different?

Well, the GT Line model has badges on the front grille. Likewise, it has a fancier set of alloy wheels, accents in the door sills, and front and rear skid plates.

However, the Tech Line has front and rear skid plates with 17-inch 'hyper' metallic alloy wheels.

Interior Design

Like the sporty exterior look, GT Line has a sporty interior with an all-black color scheme and red stitching. This red stitch will be around the seats, gear lever, and steering wheel.

Similarly, its driver's cabin is filled with dual-tone cabin, alloy pedals, and beige upholstery. Furthermore, the bottom of the steering wheel is added with the GT Line logo.

As for Tech Line, it has a dual-tone theme with a black and beige color scheme. Here, the leather upholstery has a honeycomb pattern and the Seltos logo at the bottom of the steering wheel.

Powertrains

Taking about performance and engine, the GT Line features a racier 140hp, 1.4liter turbo-petrol motor. However, the Tech Line comes with 1.5-liter engines –115hp naturally aspirated petrol and 115hp turbo-diesel.

Both models have a standard 6-speed manual gearbox with three BS6-compliant engines and their own choice of automatic transmissions. The three engines include CVT (on the 1.5 petrol), a 6-speed torque converter (on the 1.5-diesel), and a 7-speed dual-clutch unit (on the 1.4 turbo-petrol).

Features And Equipements

Among both models, the GT Line has a few reserved features, including six airbags, ESC, hill hold control, a 360-degree camera, and rain-sensing wipers. Among GT Line, drive and traction modes are exclusive to the automatic GT trims, while the manual GT trims boast a blind-view monitor. The Tech Line model features front disk brakes for 1.5 petrol and all-around disc brakes for 1.5 diesel. They also have a rear parking camera and dual airbags.

 HTK (mid-variant): It is the perfect option for petrol buyers as it consists of a few additional types of premium equipment unavailable for diesel buyers.

 HTK+: It is for diesel users as its price is much more sensible with a diesel-auto powertrain option.

 HTX: It is better if you buy the 1.5-liter petrol with an automatic gearbox; however, for diesel users, only the manual transmission is available.

 HTX+: Instead of the HTX variant, you should stretch your budget to HTX premium, as it covers all equipment.

 GTX: It has a striking exterior with plenty of tech and safety features.

 GTX+: It has a bit more extra features than GTX. It is the only fully-loaded diesel Seltos with six airbags, Bose speaker system, ventilated and powered front seats, and a head-up display.
