Even in children’s worlds cars are everywhere. That’s why two German dads, designer Nico Jungel and cargo bike expert Arne Behrensen, decided to design, develop and sell toy cargo bikes named Cargoli. Their product is meant to support carfree playrooms for children and offer the cargo bike industry a marketing tool as well. “Cargolis are an homage to all cargo bikers and an inspiration to swap road rage for cargo bike fun,” says Arne. Nico adds: “My kids love riding in our cargo bike. We just had to change the fact that their kindergarden only had toy cars for them to play with.”

National industry standards for cargo bikes have been established recently in Germany (DIN 79010:2020-02) and France (NF R30-050-1). They will serve as a basis for developing the EN standard.
