Welcome to December!

As we head into the final weeks of 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect, say thank you, and look ahead.

This year brought growth, challenges, learning curves, and a lot of hard work — and it took every part of Carey Electric to make it happen. From the field to the office, warehouse, pre-con, safety, and leadership, the teamwork and commitment shown across the company continues to be something we’re incredibly proud of.

As the pace of the season picks up both at work and at home, we hope everyone finds time to pause, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. You’ve earned it.

BIG WIN — BOCES Wilton Project Award

🎉 We’re excited to share a major win for Carey Electric! 🎉 Carey Electric has been awarded the BOCES Wilton project — a significant, highprofile educational facilities project that will serve students across the region for years to come.

This future-focused instructional campus will bring Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and Exceptional Learners Division (ELD) programs together on one centralized site, creating a modern, collaborative learning environment designed to support a wide range of student needs.

Spanning approximately 291,650 square feet, the project includes three new instructional buildings with dedicated CTE and ELD facilities, along with specialty labs, classrooms, and support spaces tailored for hands-on learning and student services. The campus will also feature gymnasiums, playgrounds, and therapeutic spaces to support students’ physical, social, and developmental growth.

This is a large, impactful job that reflects the trust placed in our team’s expertise, planning, and ability to deliver quality work safely and professionally. Additional project details will be shared as the construction schedule is finalized and the job moves toward mobilization.

We’re incredibly excited about what this project represents for Carey Electric, our future workload, and the communities we serve. Great work to everyone involved in securing this win — this is a big one!

One of the best parts of what we do at Carey Electric has nothing to do with schedules, tools, or projects — it’s the people behind the work.

Rather than squeezing it into an already busy December, we’re extending the celebration and planning our party after the holidays so everyone can relax and enjoy it.

Expect good food, great company, and some friendly axe-throwing competition — safely, of course.

WINTER JOBSITE SAFETY Winter Jobsite Safety — Finishing the Year Strong & Safe As we close out the year, winter conditions bring an added layer of risk to our jobsites and daily routines. Shorter daylight hours, cold temperatures, ice, snow, and winter travel all require extra awareness and intentional decision-making.

Safety during the winter months isn’t about rushing to beat the weather — it’s about slowing down, thinking ahead, and looking out for one another.

Cold Stress Awareness

SLIPS, TRIPS & FALLS

Cold stress happens when the body can’t maintain a normal temperature — and it can impact focus, reaction time, and physical performance.

Watch for signs such as: Shivering or numbness Fatigue or slowed movement Confusion or difficulty concentrating Reduce risk by: Dressing in layers and keeping spare dry gloves or socks available Taking warming breaks when needed Staying hydrated — cold weather still causes dehydration Looking out for coworkers and speaking up if something doesn’t seem right

Icy surfaces are one of the biggest winter hazards on jobsites.

Be aware of icy walkways, ladders, scaffolding, and entrances Wear proper winter footwear with good traction Salt or sand slippery areas as needed — don’t assume someone else already did Keep access points, stairs, and work areas as clear as possible If something feels unsafe, stop and address it before moving forward.

Looking Out for Each Other Winter safety is a team effort. Speak up. Check in.

Slow down when needed.

No task, schedule, or deadline is worth risking an injury.

The goal every day — especially in winter — is simple: work safe and get home safe.

2026 Goals — This One’s for You

As we head into a new year, we want to pause and focus on something just as important as the work we do every day — where you want to go.

This year, we’re sharing a Personal, Professional & Financial (PPF) Goal Worksheet as a tool to help you get clear on what matters most and how you want to grow.

The PPF framework is a proven, structured approach to goal-setting that has been used in hundreds of organizations and thousands of individual goalplanning conversations to support clarity, balance, and intentional progress.

The PPF / SMART Goal framework breaks goals into three key areas: Personal Professional Financial

By separating goals this way, it encourages a balanced focus across different parts of life — helping ensure progress in one area supports, rather than competes with the others.

Each goal is then built using the SMART f ramework: Specif ic – Clearly def ine what you want to achieve Measurable – Identify how progress will be tracked Attainable – Set goals that are challenging yet realistic Relevant – Connect goals to what matters most to you Timely – Establish timelines and milestones

This approach helps turn ideas into a clear, actionable plan, aligning day-to-day actions with long-term vision and creating focus, motivation, and momentum.

The worksheet guides you through setting 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year goals in each category, encouraging both near-term focus and long-term thinking.

These goals are for you — your life, your career, and your future. If any of your professional goals include training, certif ications, leadership development, or new responsibilities at Carey Electric, we encourage you to share them with your supervisor or leadership team so we can support your growth.

We encourage everyone to take time early in 2026 to complete the worksheet thoughtfully. There’s no requirement to share it — but writing goals down is often the f irst step toward making them real.
