When I walk our halls each morning, I am reminded that the moments we celebrate today were made possible by people like you. It is with deep gratitude that I share this year’s Annual Report. These pages tell the story of a school, but even more, they tell the story of a community. You believe in our vision of Elevating our Faith and Academics, and you believe in our young people, showing up for them year after year. Generations of Chiefs have built the Cardinal Gibbons we know today. Some of you sat in these classrooms yourselves, and many of you now cheer from the stands as your own children carry the tradition forward. Every gift, every volunteer hour, and every word of encouragement adds another chapter to a story 64 years in the making. This report captures the year your support made possible. Within these pages, you will find the achievements of our students, the dedication of our faculty, and the generosity of the families and friends who stand behind them. These are the moments you helped create. Here are a few highlights from this past year: • Through our OCIA Program, 31 students entered into full communion with the Church by receiving the Sacraments of Initiation, a joyful milestone for them, their families, and our entire community. • Our athletes gave us a season to remember. Football advanced to the State Final Four, and competitive cheerleading won its first state championship since 2009. One of our wrestlers earned his fourth consecutive individual state title, and one of our divers claimed her third. Our students earned several dozen All County honors, including Athlete of the Year in Basketball, Diving, Softball, and Wrestling, and five of our coaches were named Coach of the Year. We also celebrated 28 student athletes who committed to compete at the collegiate level. • We officially launched Allied Health Science, our sixth academic pathway, opening new doors for students called to careers in healthcare and being able to graduate as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). • At the 68th Annual Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards, Cardinal Gibbons competed in all 15 categories and earned more recognition than any other Catholic school in the Archdiocese, with Silver Knight winners in Drama, Journalism, and Vocational Technical, along with five Honorable Mentions. Thank you for believing in Cardinal Gibbons. Every student in these pages carries a piece of your generosity with them. I cannot wait to see what we accomplish next as we continue Reaching New Heights Together. With warm regards and deepest appreciation,

Planned Giving Also known as deferred gifts, planned gifts involve estate plans or wills and can range in size from small bequests to multimillion dollar trusts.
Stock & Real Estate Gifts of stock may be transferred to Cardinal Gibbons, as well as property deeds. Donations in this manner are often a great benefit to both the donor and Cardinal Gibbons.
Honor and Memorial Gifts A gift made in honor or memory of those we love is a great way to commemorate the lives of our special ones. Notification of the donations are sent by Cardinal Gibbons to the honoree’s family. WHAT IS THE ANNUAL FUND? The Cardinal Gibbons Annual Fund is a yearlong appeal that forms the cornerstone of our fundraising activities and allows every member of the Cardinal Gibbons community, including alumni far and wide, to support our mission. Gifts made to the Cardinal Gibbons Annual Fund help cover the outstanding costs of our day-to-day operations. Every gift, no matter the size, immediately, and directly impacts our students and enhances their educational experience at Cardinal Gibbons. Our donors help support tuition assistance, academic programs, classroom upgrades, technology enhancements and faculty professional development.
What is the Annual Fund used for? The Gibbons Annual Fund will be used exclusively for the current year’s operating costs, which includes: • Tuition Assistance • Renovation of Current Classrooms • Enhanced Technology
How is the Annual Fund different from the Dinner Auction, Golf Tournament and other fundraisers? All of these events are essential annual fundraising programs, and we sincerely appreciate all who continue to support them. However, gifts made to our Annual Fund are specifically dedicated to supplement our operating budget and address annual expenses.
How can I help? Through your support of the Gibbons Annual Fund you can help us fulfill our mission and meet our operating needs. You can help us provide tuition assistance for those families in the greatest need and help enhance our students’ educational experience. Gifts of $1,000 or more welcome you into the James Cardinal Gibbons Society, which honors our outstanding philanthropic leaders.
