Celebrating a future you helped create begins with recognizing the lasting impact you have made on our school. I am proud to share this year’s Annual Report with deep gratitude. More than a summary of accomplishments, it reflects the strong partnership between Cardinal Gibbons and our extended community.
For more than sixty years, Cardinal Gibbons High School has been a place where academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service come together. This tradition continues because of your trust and generosity. Through your time, talent, and treasure, you help us live out our mission.
This report expresses our sincere thanks and highlights the achievements your support made possible. Within these pages, we honor the individuals whose commitment is shaping the future of Cardinal Gibbons.
Here are a few notable highlights from the past school year that your support has made possible:
• Cardinal Gibbons Athletics had an exceptional year, with our competitive cheerleading team winning its first national championship, our dance team winning its first two national championships, a wrestler securing his third consecutive individual state title, and a diver winning her second consecutive individual state title. Cardinal Gibbons was also proud to send 13 committed student-athletes to compete at the collegiate level.
• Twenty Cardinal Gibbons students traveled to Tampa to compete at the Student Television Network (STN) Spring Nationals, putting their storytelling and production skills to the test against the best in the country. After many hours of preparation outside of class, their dedication paid off with four national awards including: First Place in Anchor Team.
• Cardinal Gibbons High School proudly competed in all 15 categories at the 67th Annual Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards, highlighting student projects that made a meaningful impact on children and the community. Two students earned Honorable Mentions in the Digital & Interactive Media category and the Dance & Music category.
• This year, Cardinal Gibbons restarted offering the OCIA Program, a sacramental preparation program for students to receive their Sacraments of Initiation. The program meets during a designated F Block class and helps students deepen their relationship with God, explore the Catholic faith, and prepare them to fully enter into the life of the Church. This year 34 students entered full communion into the Church by receiving one or all the Sacraments of Initiation. We are grateful for our partnership with our gracious neighbor, St. John the Baptist Parish and for the grace to evangelize students who are invested in growing their faith.

Planned Giving
Also known as deferred gifts, planned gifts involve estate plans or wills and can range in size from small bequests to multimillion dollar trusts.
Stock and Real Estate
Gifts of stock may be transferred to Cardinal Gibbons, as well as property deeds. Donations in this manner are often a great benefit to both the donor and Cardinal Gibbons.
Honor and Memorial Gifts
A gift made in honor or memory of those we love is a great way to commemorate the lives of our special ones. Notification of the donations are sent by Cardinal Gibbons to the honoree’s family.

WHAT IS THE ANNUAL FUND?
The Cardinal Gibbons Annual Fund is a yearlong appeal that forms the cornerstone of our fundraising activities and allows every member of the Cardinal Gibbons community, including alumni far and wide, to support our mission. Gifts made to the Cardinal Gibbons Annual Fund help cover the outstanding costs of our day-to-day operations. Every gift, no matter the size, immediately, and directly impacts our students and enhances their educational experience at Cardinal Gibbons. Our donors help support tuition assistance, academic programs, classroom upgrades technology enhancements and faculty professional development.
What is the Annual Fund used for?
The Gibbons Annual Fund will be used exclusively for the current year’s operating costs, which includes:
• Tuition Assistance
• Renovation of Current Classrooms
• Enhanced Technology
How is the Annual Fund different from the Dinner Auction, Golf Tournament and other fundraisers?
All of these events are essential annual fundraising programs, and we sincerely appreciate all who continue to support them. However, gifts made to our Annual Fund are specifically dedicated to supplement our operating budget and address annual expenses.
How can I help?
Through your support of the Gibbons Annual Fund you can help us fulfill our mission and meet our operating needs. You can help us provide tuition assistance for those families in the greatest need and help enhance our students’ educational experience.
