India adores a good love story, and the obsession reaches ano­ ther level whenever a Bolly­ wood celebrity gets paired up with a cricketer. Needless to say, India went into a frenzy when the link up rumours of Bollywood’s A- list actress Anushka Sharma and India’s finest batsman Virat Kohli started doing the rounds.

I love you.” (Virat) It was the year 2013. Virat has already become the star of the cri­ cket scene in India and Anushka was still soaring high on the suc­ cess of her film Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

The two met on the sets of an ad shoot and instantly struck a chord. Their multiple appearan­ ces together sparked the rumours of their affair. While Indian me­ dia was quick to call them a cou­ ple, Virat and Anushka always maintained their silence.

The duo was often spotted to­ gether at events and restaurants and that fueled the rumours fur­ ther. While Anushka and Virat never confirmed their rela­ tionship, they also made no at­ tempts to hide their friendship.
