Parenting means guiding the child's emotions, and teaching them to cope with difficult situations. Emotional intelligence is the ability to identify and express emotions constructively. Acquiring this skill begins to develop in the earliest stages of life. The World Health Organization has found that children with emotional disorders such as anxiety or depression are more likely to experience extraordinary irritability and hopelessness. Besides, it can give rise to physical disorders, such as abdominal pain, headaches and nausea. However, most parents are not able to identify and understand their child's emotional needs. Parent’s busy schedules do not help.
