PERTH SALES ON THE RISE Renewed confidence is building in the West, with 2018 set to see continued growth in the market. It´s a positive start to the year, with increased numbers of sales reported by property analysis group, CoreLogic. Throughout Caporn Young´s catchment areas in and around Claremont, Fremantle and Applecross our own results mirror this overall trend. Higher sales experienced during the last calendar year signal a brighter outlook for Perth´s real estate market. CoreLogic senior analyst Cameron Kusher recently told ABC News that these larger sales volumes come as a result of extra buyers seeking housing stock. He said rental returns had also grown, with houses rising by 3.8% in 2017 and units by 4.3%. We are seeing this demand as more and more people choose to stay in the West, with the rate of interstate migration starting to slow. CoreLogic is expecting to see ongoing
improvement in Perth´s housing market throughout 2018, with predicted modest growth. At Caporn Young, our own enquiries have increased as employment opportunities draw new residents across from the Eastern States. High quality family homes remain in strong demand, with equal interest from buyers and tenants.
