CAPITAL MEDICAL SOCIETY FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANTS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE
Big Bend Hospice Foundation President Dena Strickland was presented with a $5,000 grant check on June 16, 2021, by Capital Medical Foundation’s Executive Director Pam Irwin for their bereavement program. The funding will be used for grief counseling and education on the processing of grief.

Capital Medical Society Foundation’s Executive Director Pam Irwin presented a $5,000 check to Elder Care Services CEO/President Jocelyne Fliger and Communications and Development Coordinator Moriah Iglesias on June 17, 2021. The grant will be used to provide critical in-home services to older adults, as well as, transportation to doctors and other healthcare providers.

On June 17, 2021, the Lighthouse of the Big Bend’s Kim Galban-Countryman and Debara Jump were presented a $5,000 grant from the Capital Medical Society Foundation’s Executive Director Pam Irwin to purchase aids for their clients with vision loss.
