I. Welcome

Dr. Rohan Joseph called the event to order at 7:05 pm. He welcomed all members, spouses, special guests, and sponsors. He gave a special welcome to our keynote speaker, FMA President, Dr. Douglas Murphy, Jr.; and to incoming President, Dr. Paresh Patel and his family and friends in attendance. Dr. Joseph also recognized Dr. Lucille Saha, a new member at Big Bend Hospice

Joe Ashcraft, bagpiper, led the processional and recessional for the past presidents in attendance.

Pam Irwin, CMS Executive Director, announced each of the past presidents in attendance during the passing of the CMS President’s medallion.

Dr. Douglas Murphy administered the Oath of Office to Dr. Patel. Once installed, Dr. Patel made his remarks.

Dr. Patel recognized our Outgoing CMS Board Members:

Dr. Patel presented Dr. Whithaus (in attendance) with a bottle of CMS wine as a token of appreciation for his leadership and support of CMS.

Dr. Patel presented Mrs. Stephens with a bottle of CMS wine and a bouquet of flowers as a token of appreciation for the leadership and support she has given to the CMS Alliance through her Board service.

Dr. Patel thanked Dr. Joseph for his service this past year. He recognized the hard work and the time given to CMS and presented him with a commemorative box with his President’s medallion, a bottle of CMS wine, and a gift bag.

Dr. Joseph made a few remarks about his year as President.
