JANUARY EDITION, VOLUME 2016, NO. 1
“DO I HEAR $500?” By Pam Wilson, CMS Executive Director Emails came flooding in on Friday full of enthusiasm for the 2015 Holiday Auction attended by 270 guests filled with holiday cheer and bidding fever. Not only did most of you jump on your smartphones like old pros to bid, but many of you mastered the art of shutting out your opponents in the final minutes of the Silent Auction to win some fantastic items for a great cause. Auctioneers Extraordinaire, Drs. Scott Sellinger and John Mahoney kept the Live Auction competitive and entertaining. With a few hotly contested items, like the “Dinner at the Forsthoefel’s,” that sold for $3,500, “Parking at TMH,” that sold for $3,300, and “Dinner at Lucy Ho’s,” that sold for $2,200, they had their auctioning skills ramped up!

The success of the event is possible due to the strong support of our sponsors, donors, and bidders. $49,340 in sponsorships were provided this year from 53 sponsors. Sponsorships enable the funds from the Live and Silent Auctions to go directly to Capital Medical Society Foundation to support its mission and initiatives that include We Care Network and FSU College of Medicine
