“Oh my, it was so much fun! The room was just beautiful, and all the items presented in such an appealing manner. I liked the explanations for each item. More info made you want to buy. I think this party will get bigger every year, because not only does one support a good cause but it is FUN. Best party of the year!” Emails came flooding in full of enthusiasm for the 2014 Holiday Auction attended by 300 guests filled with holiday cheer and bidding fever. Not only did you all jump on your BidPals like old pros, most of you took to your smartphones to bid which kept you in the bidding wars even if you had to go home early or tried your luck at the Live Auction. The University Center Club was the perfect venue for the event again. Back by popular demand were the martini glasses of lobster mac ‘n cheese, and the NY Cheesecake martini buffet and dessert flambé stations. The Antipasto Bar was a huge hit this year! The room was beautifully decorated by the talented Alliance Auction team who also brought some of their own decorations to set the mood this year. McCully. McCully greenery kept sweet Jean McCully’s presence close to our hearts. The success of the event is possible due to the strong support of our Sponsors, Donors, and Bidders. For the 14th straight year, Tallahassee State Bank generously provided $5,000 as our Title Sponsor. The FSU College of Medicine was a Presenting Sponsor at $2,500 for the third year in a row. Southeastern Center for Infectious Diseases was also a valuable Presenting Sponsor. In all, 49 Corporate Sponsors provided the financial support we needed to cover the costs of hosting the event. Sponsorships enable the funds from the Live and Silent Auctions to go directly to Capital Medical Society Foundation for We Care Network and FSU College of Medicine Scholarships. We are deeply grateful to all of the people, local businesses, and organizations who generously donated to the Auction. More than 140 items were included in the Silent and Live Auctions. We had wonderful volunteer support in addition to the Alliance Auction Committee and Auction Steering Committee. This year we had twelve medical students helping you get
