HISTORY OF HALEYFEST
Art Haley was the Chairman of the North Bay Santa Fund for over forty years. He was a City of North Bay employee for 37 years and Fire Chief for four more, retiring in 1975. He and his wife Doris proved a powerful driving force behind the North Bay Santa Fund for those forty-one years and beyond. Unfortunately, Doris and Art are no longer with us, but their spirit and legacy live on year after year.
The Haleyfest concert was initiated and named for Mr. Haley by Mayor Stan Lawlor in 1986, as a tribute to the Haleys’ dedication to the Santa Fund and to raise awareness for its annual drive to fill baskets with food and gifts for those people who are in need in our community.
It was evident from the first year that it was a great way to start the holiday season and Mayor Jack Burrows carried on the tradition, transitioning the celebration from North Bay City Hall to the Capitol Centre, where it is continued to be celebrated today.

Now bring us some figgy pudding, Now bring us some figgy pudding, Now bring us some figgy pudding, Now bring some out here!
2. FELIZ NAVIDAD

Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
¡Prospero Año y felicidad!
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
From the bottom of my heart.
For we all like our figgy pudding, For we all like our figgy pudding, For we all like our figgy pudding, With all this good cheer!
We won’t go until we get some, We won’t go until we get some, We won’t go until we get some, So bring some out here!
We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas, And a Happy New Year!
3. JINGLE BELLS
Dashing through the snow, On a one-horse open sleigh, Over the fields we go, Laughing all the way; Bells on bob-tail ring, Making spirits bright, What fun it is to ride and sing A sleighing song tonight!
Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way! What fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh!
A day or two ago, I thought I’d take a ride, And soon Miss Fanny Bright Was seated by my side; The horse was lean and lank; Misfortune seemed his lot; He got into a drifted bank And we, we got upsot!
Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way! What fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh!
Now the ground is white, Go it while you’re young, Take the girls tonight, And sing this sleighing song; Just get a bob-tailed bay, Two-forty as his speed, Hitch him to an open sleigh, And crack! you’ll take the lead!
Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way! What fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh!
You better watch out, you better not cry, You better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town.
He’s making a list, and checking it twice; He’s gonna find out who’s naughty and nice. Santa Claus is coming to town!
He sees you when you’re sleeping, He knows when you’re awake, He knows if you’ve been bad or good, So be good for goodness sake! Oh ...
You better watch out, you better not cry, You better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa Claus is coming to town!
You know Dasher and Dancer, And Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, And Donner and Blitzen, But do you recall The most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
Had a very shiny nose (like a light bulb), And if you ever saw it, You would even say it glows (like a flashlight),
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names (like Pinocchio),
They never let poor Rudolph Play in any reindeer games (like Monopoly).
Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say (Ho Ho Ho), “Rudolph with your nose so bright, Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”
Then how the reindeer loved him, As they shouted out with glee (yippee),
“Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, You’ll go down in history!”
Deck the Halls
Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
Tis the season to by jolly, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
Don we now our gay apparel, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
Troll the ancient Yuletide carol, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
See the blazing Yule before us, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
7. JOY TO THE WORLD
Joy to the world the Lord is come
Let earth receive her king
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
Follow me in merry measure, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
While I tell of Yuletide treasure, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
Fast away the old year passes, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
Sing we joyous, all together, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
Heedless of the wind and weather, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la-la.
And heaven and Heaven and nature sing
Joy to the world the savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods rocks hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy
He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders of His love 6. DECK
