Good evening and welcome to tonight’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Takeover! This annual Fall Fundraiser is always a fun event for staff and committee members to pull together. It is our biggest fundraiser and one of the reasons we are able to offer so many community programs all year round. Money raised tonight will support the Next Generation Education Series, Arts for All, the WKP Kennedy Gallery, Free Family Films as well as other accessible programming.
It is also a unique opportunity to have an intimate experience of all the Capitol Centre has to offer – the Betty Speers Theatre will play host to Carl Dixon but also to any of you channeling your inner guitar hero. The WKP Kennedy Gallery showcases the work of 14 local artists; and you can purchase one of those pieces and have a North Bay original in your own home. Be sure to tap into the other creative talents you may have lurking beneath the surface be it karaoke, rock painting, or dancing the night away.
We could not do any of this without the support of our generous community sponsors and partners. We also have an incredible committee and team of volunteers who are a driving force behind making this event a success. This annual event enables us to offer outreach and educational programming and services to the community which otherwise would not be possible. So please, join us in some rock ‘n’ roll fun, visit our vendor tables for some delicious samples, and do what you can to support North Bay’s home for Arts and Entertainment. Thank you for your support!
