It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere Series
The Capital District Education team is kicking off our 2021 - 2022 Kiwanis year with an all new 5 O’clock Somewhere Series of speakers. This year, you’ll hear from our leaders in the District and in the community on topics that matter to you and your clubs. So, bring a drink to your cozy chair and listen up.....because on the last Thursday of the month, it’s 5 O’clock Somewhere.
OCTOBER’S 5 O’CLOCK SOMEWHERE - LET’S PLAY!
Speakers: Victoria Babb and Mitch Reno
Topic: Building on their very successful and heartwarming presentation at the Capital District Education Conference this year about inclusiveness on the playground, Victoria and Mitch would like to take play elements and key principles for inclusive recreational spaces to the next level. They will answer some of your outstanding questions (for example, what’s an ADA compliant play space design vs. going above the ADA marker to ensure equity & inclusion). They’ll give you some new ideas for spaces that you may help upkeep and be your resource for clubs interested in tackling a playground project in the future.
Date/Time: Thursday, October 28th at 7pm
