A vibrant force in the inked model world, Selena Moondust has captivated nearly a million TikTok followers with her unique blend of stunning tattoos, #egirl style, and love for gaming and anime. Hailing from France’s “M๑๑ɴ, ” Selena’s creative spirit and magnetic personality shine through every post, making her a true standout in the tattoo and digital communities. What inspired your unique style and how do you express your personality through your inked look?
My style was born from a mix of fascination with both dark and ethereal aesthetics, and from a need to express who I am beyond words. Every tattoo on my body tells a piece of my story , my emotions, my struggles, and my journey. My inked look is like an armor: it protects me, but it also reflects the person I choose to be. It’s a visual language that speaks louder than words.
With 950K followers on TikTok, how do you balance creating content that’s authentic to you while engaging such a large audience?
For me, the secret is to stay authentic. I always create content that feels true to me, whether it’s something that makes me laugh, inspires me, or moves me. Of course, I pay attention to trends; I adapt them to my own world and aesthetic. At the end of the day, I’d rather have a community that follows me because they connect with the real me, than try to please everyone by being someone I’m not.
You proudly embrace the #egirl, #weeb, and #gamegirl communities — how have these cultures influenced your journey as a model and creator?
These communities gave me the courage to embrace myself fully. Discovering them showed me that being different could actually be a strength, not a weakness. The egirl aesthetic gave me confidence to express myself visually, the weeb culture nurtured my love for creativity and fantasy, and gaming taught me how to mix humor and aesthetics in my content. All three influences have shaped me, and I carry them with me in everything I create.
What’s your favorite tattoo story or piece, and why does it hold special meaning for you?
I don’t have one single favorite tattoo, for me, it’s the entirety of my bodysuit that holds meaning. It’s a universe in itself, built from everything that fascinated me as a child: the esoteric, the magical, the unseen. My tattoos give shape to my imagination and make the invisible visible. They are dark, they speak of death, demons, witchcraft , but for me, they are not negative. I see them as a creative force Where some might only see darkness, I see beauty, mystery, and a way to transform shadows into art.
As a French artist from the “M๑๑ɴ” (Moon), how do your roots influence your creative projects and social media presence? Being French definitely shapes my artistic sensitivity. I’ve always loved the romantic, poetic, and sometimes dramatic aspects of my culture I mix those influences with more modern and international aesthetics to create something that feels uniquely mine. The “Moon” represents my inner world, mysterious yet soft , and that duality is something I always try to express through my content and imagery.
What advice would you give to young aspiring models who want to build their own brand and connect with communities like yours?
My biggest advice is: don’t try to copy anyone, build your own world. Communities love authenticity, and people can always tell when you’re being real. Be patient, stay consistent, and above all, be passionate about what you’re creating. And don’t be afraid to dare, everyone has a story to tell and a unique aesthetic to share Your difference is what will make you stand out and connect with the right audience.
