Student voices say it best:

We are deeply proud of our ongoing partnership with Aurora Science and Technology (AST) High School and the tradition of welcoming their ninth-grade students to CAPE each year. Hearing their reflections reminds us of the power of simulation to spark curiosity and confidence in the next generation of learners.

AST leadership shared:

“Each time we visit, the experience seems to get better and better and having this tradition for our ninth-grade students is unparalleled. Our students just gush about their time at CAPE each and every time we’re walking back to campus –and that’s all because of you and the work you put into preparing this event for us each year.”

“I most appreciated having the experience to actually feel like you're helping someone or having the opportunity to do the simulation.”

“My favorite part of the CAPE final was being able to do hands-on activities on the mannequin, and being self-led which makes for a productive learning experience.”

GOALS our 2026

We’ll continue to build the SP Education Symposium series with themed learning tracks starting with SP identity and professionalism, followed by I-ACT refreshers and feedback training this fall

1

Scale SP Development:

We’re deepening our involvement with K–12 pipeline and outreach programs, including a new partnership with CU School of Pharmacy.

2

Expand CAPE’s Footprint:

We’re also working with Dr Guth to expand SP programming for medical students at WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) in Laramie, WY

We’re exploring opportunities in continuing medical education (CME) and graduate medical education (GME) to bring CAPE’s impact to even more learners and educators.

The newly formed SP Advisory Board is already developing bylaws and brainstorming ways to represent and support the SP community

3

Elevate SP Voice:

4

Strengthen Interdepartmental Collaboration:
