Lyons welcomes Byron Brown as new city councilor

Editor’s Note: Lyons City Council welcomed Byron Brown as a new councilor on February 15. The position had been vacant for 4 months. Brown is a Lyons resident who currently volunteers with the city’s fire department. They now go on to play Western Mennonite in the Semifinals on March 7, who they lost to earlier in the season. If they win, they will play the winner of the Lost River/ Regis game in the Finals and the State Championship. They also defeated Vernonia 67-37 at their game on February 28. The team is currently ranked 7th with just a few games left to the Finals. In 2012, the Lady Wolverines finished 3rd in the State Finals.
