Young Life | The Summit

During Young Life, we explore important topics that will equip you to be mature in your faith. No one should walk this journey alone, and we are eager to welcome you into our CHYA family!

Growing a family can be challenging, but that is why we have groups like Family Life! This group is more than just a Life Group; they are a community of friends doing life together, both on and off campus.
This class discusses a wide range of topics from finances to raising kids to cultivating a solid relationship with Jesus Christ. When you walk into Family Life, you’ll be greeted with a warm hello, a hot cup of coffee, and delicious snacks!

Student Hope Groups equip students with tools to make wise decisions in their life and relationships. These groups engage students with topics that address the challenges, concerns, and opportunities students face in our world today. Find hope and confidence through God’s Word and learn how to live it out daily.

Teaches kids who they are in Christ and the importance of living with the light of Jesus Christ inside of them. This group is for 3rd5th grade students.
DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS
You need to be equipped with the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Discipleship Groups help believers build a solid foundation in their faith by the systematic study of God’s Word. These groups primarily meet on Thursdays and often go through a book or video study.
New Believers Class

A four-week class for new believers called Made New. Making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life is the most important decision you’ll ever make and we want to walk alongside you in your new faith. New classes begin the first week of each month immediately following our Sunday morning service.

This season we will go through Ruth Chou Simmons’ study “Truthfilled”, which focuses on the book of Colossians. In every season of life, we can rest in God’s character, rehearse our identity in Christ, respond in faith, and remember God’s provision for us.

I learned how to use God’s Word as a tool and how to call out my fears. I even made some new friends. I feel so free! God restored my life and returned to me double!

The pandemic brought my life to a complete stop. I felt like I lost everything. I was at the lowest point of life and didn’t see a way out, but God saved me. I surrendered all I had to the Lord and confessed I needed Him.
I received an invite to a small group through the Young Adults ministry at Canyon Hills and haven’t looked back since. This small group has turned into a family. I found my future wife through this group! This family encourages me to go deeper in my walk with the Lord and they inspire me to be better every day. I love doing life with them.
