Pet of the Month – Hank
BIG HANK
Pet: Hank Mom and Dad: Will and Cyndy Silverthorn Siblings: Lila 8, Jack and Piper 5
Santa Claus delivered one of our best gifts ever three years ago—an adorable labradoodle we named Hank. Now at three years old, Big Hank (as he’s affectionately known) weighs in at 100 pounds. But don’t let his big size fool you—he’s a gentle giant! Hank loves all of the neighborhood kids, and his favorite thing to do is walk with the kids to school and play fetch. He also enjoys chasing the rabbits in the neighborhood.
Hank’s mischievous side really comes out around dinnertime, when he enjoys hiding under the table and waiting for the kids to drop him food. In his three short years, he has also eaten rat poison and had to have his stomach pumped; had a blockage; contracted an MRSA infection; was bit by a dog; and had surgery because of an infection. And let’s not forget that he gets weekly allergy shots and must eat prescription dog food.
He may be a tad high maintenance, but he’s truly our best friend, and we’d do anything for Big Hank!
