When did you move to Canyon Creek?

We bought our home in September of 2015. Renovation + Transition = a move in date of April 2016

What brought you to Canyon Creek?

I, Josh, am anti-concrete... However, my wife grew up in Plano. Not knocking Plano, just saying that Canyon Creek was more of a community that I could have ever dreamed that I would fi nd here in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area and was pleasantly surprised to fi nd this gem! Abbie’s father, Wilson Howell, previously had been a Member of Canyon Creek Country Club and I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to become a part of CC!

Josh - Memphis, TX (on Hwy 287, southeast of Amarillo -- if you have ever driven to Colorado from here, you’ve been right through it... You may have received a speeding ticket!)

Abbie - Plano, TX

Do you have any children or pets? If so, what are their names?

Yes we do, two kids: Levi 2 years old and Mackie 1 year old.

How did you meet?

College. I was living in Lubbock attending Lubbock Christian and she was in Abilene at Abilene Christian. She really doesn’t remember this story, but I left Lubbock and headed to Abilene for a purpose! That purpose was to fi nd the girl several of my ACU friends had mentioned to me and how gorgeous she was. I did meet her that weekend! There is a lot of meat to this story, but fi nally I was smart enough to ask her to marry me in 2011!

What are some of your favorite things to do for fun?

What are your names?

Music. Live music. I love going to a concert and hanging with my wife.

With my boys... Right now, it’s going for a ride on the golf cart in the or “beep beep” before we put them in bed. We are the Camo Cart that you will more than likely see around 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

What do you do for a living?

Josh - Insurance

Abbie - Speech Therapy

What do you like so far about Canyon Creek?

I love that this is a neighborhood that I could never leave. The people, the businesses, and the community are all things that I value. Abbie loves the schools that our boys will be a part of. All of this is what makes CC special.

Do you have any hobbies or unique interests?

I think it’s safe to say that Abbie and I used to have a lot of hobbies! Now days our hobbies consist of taking care of our boys and when we have time, going to dinner (with a baby sitter at home), a movie at a theater is a big night, live music and golf for me and spa for her.

Tell us one thing you’d like your neighbors to know about you.

We are just happy to be here. We, Harrisons, are blessed to have each other but as an added bonus, happy to be a part of the community. Glad to help with anything that we can (really, don’t hesitate to ask). We are your
