Staub takes stab at politics again
Former White Rock mayor, 70, comes out of retirement to challenge Conservative MP Russ Hiebert
Under the Liberal banner, former White Rock mayor Hardy Staub will take on Conservative MP Russ Hiebert in the next federal election.

Two years later, he was elected as a White Rock city councillor and served in that capacity until 1993 when he became mayor of White Rock, a post he held until December 2002

when he retired from public life. Since then he has chaired the Employment Insurance board of referees and the provincial property assessment review panel. He has served on the board of many community organizations. Staub is presently employed as a flight instructor with Professional Flight Centre in Delta.
