Stolen artifacts back after 20 years Jane Seyd jseyd@nsnews.com

A ceremonial drum, a “wild woman” shaman figure and an old fishing pole are back in their special spots at North Vancouver’s Tomahawk Restaurant this week — for the first time in almost 20 years. Chuck Chamberlain, owner of the landmark North Shore restaurant, said he was stunned when he came out of the kitchen this week and saw the First Nations artifacts sitting on the counter. The seven items mysteriously returned to the restaurant were among 23 stolen from the business in a break-in two decades ago. “I was absolutely beside myself; I was overjoyed,” said Chamberlain. “You could have knocked me over with a feather.” Chamberlain’s parents established the Tomahawk more than 80 years ago and filled it See Police page 3

In a written statement, Hollyburn’s General Manager Allan
