Money raised from the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay helps fund 800 one-week trips to specially designed, equipped and staffed Easter Seals Camps for BC’s Children with disabilities. The Relay is the primary fundraising initiative that finances the three Provincial Easter Seal Camps, located in Squamish, Shawnigan Lake and Winfield. These camp experiences provide these special children with invaluable life lessons, helping them build self-esteem, self-confidence, learn goal setting and more.

The 31st Annual Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay took place June 19th & 20th at Swanguard Stadium with the Prudential “Rock Solid” team participating for an 18th year. Raising over $15,000 this year, the team has accumulated over $289,000 at this event. Running 159.21 miles over the 24 hour period – that’s the 3rd highest mileage of any team that ran! This year’s 2010 Relay raised a grand total of $1,323,511 to help send some very special Kids to Easter Seals holiday camps. Special thanks to Team / Camp organizers Iain Edmonds, Kenan MacKenzie, Cathy Wood, Barry Cummings, and to all the Runners and Volunteers.
