Old photo found floating in the river SANDOR GYARMATI

Don Flucker is hoping to solve the mystery of an old photograph found in the water by his Port Guichon float home last weekend.

The photo shows a little girl wearing what appears to be adult work boots, possibly fishing boots. Saying the photo couldn’t have been in the water too long because it wasn’t badly damaged, Flucker removed it from its frame

and glass and found it had been enlarged in 1973. He suspects it was taken in the 1940s. Who owns the photo and how it got into the water are still mysteries. Anyone with information can call Flucker at 604-961-7531.
