Avera, a Houston-based construction and investment company, has completed its construction of the GE Oil and Gas facility at the Mills Business Park on Faircrest Street SW in Canton. GE Oil and Gas could be expected to begin operations in Canton in the next few weeks.

Mills Business Park is approximately one mile west of the Faircrest Street interchange with Interstate 77, which gives the park superior connections to the highway transportation system throughout Stark County. Current businesses at the park include Medline and Old Dominion Freight Lines.

The new facility is 28,000 square feet on five acres. GE Oil & Gas offers advanced technology equipment and services for all segments of the oil and gas industry. GE is the first oil-andgas business to choose the Mills Business Park in Canton as its Utica base of operations. It is estimated that GE Oil & Gas will create about 34 area jobs.

The Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the DeHoff Family Foundation are partners in ownership of the Mills Business Park. For more information, contact Steve Katz, senior vice president, at katzcrcc@cantonchamber.org.
