In existence since the school was founded in1923, the Old Canfordian Society (OCS) is the alumni membership organisation for all pupils who have experienced a Canford education. The network of Old

Canfordians (OCs) is vast and far reaching, the value of which should not be underestimated.

OCs can provide career advice, mentoring and a friendly network to assist you in the transition into the world of university and work, not to mention many social opportunities.

STAY IN TOUCH Canford Global Connect is your alumni platform. This is a growing network of OCs who can easily connect with each other.

CONNECT - Find and reminisce with fellow OCs, see what they have been up to and stay in touch.

DEVELOP - Develop your professional network to get introduced to people you should know.

NEWS - See forthcoming events and news from Canford.

GIVE BACK - Eventually introduce, employ and offer to act as a mentor to OCs.

The OC Magazine is produced bi-annually and enables OCs to communicate across the generations, celebrate and share achievements and keep up-to-date with all Canford news and events both at home and abroad, as well as providing a nostalgic look back on past days at the school.

SOCIAL EVENTS The Development Office organises alumni events throughout the year. The first event you are likely to attend will be an informal ‘Uni Get -Together’. Each year we aim to organise three of these in key feeder universities.

Your first full year reunion event will be 5-10 years after you have left and will most likely be hosted in London.

Reunion lunches are held at Canford for OCs who left 20, 30, 40 and 50+ years ago.

The OC London Drinks Party is held in London each year, usually in May and you will be offered a discounted ticket to attend whilst you are at university.

CAREERS

GLOBAL NETWORKS

Networking events are held mostly in London being a combination of industry specific and general networking opportunities. Canford Global Connect will also provide you with a host of OCs in different industries who have committed to be a mentor, give advice and in some cases, offer work experience to other OCs.

A network of overseas OC Reps provide a Canford contact for OCs living or travelling around the world and these can be found on the back page of the OC Magazine. You can also search on Canford Global Connect to find OCs living abroad and message them directly.
