by Canford industry but Canford Audio may not be so familiar. Canford Audio are the manufacturers of Tecpro, and have a pedigree in pro Audio and Broadcast. Iain Elliott, our founder, is still on the Board and we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year.

In addition to supplying some of the world’s leading audio brands SENNHEISER, SHURE, Audio Technica and NEUTRIK, to name a few, we also manufacture 40% of the products we supply from our two UK manufacturing sites in Washington (Tyne & Wear) and Portland (Dorset) providing bespoke customer solutions to meet your specific applications.

During 2015 and continuing in 2016 we are also seeing an increasing demand for Fibre systems, where higher speeds and greater bandwidth are required. Our investments for 2016 include a Fibre Termination facility to enable fast, efficient terminations to support you with your ongoing applications.

We are also launching Green-Go a digital intercom system over a standard Ethernet network, which operates without a central matrix eliminating the possibility of a catastrophic single component failure. In the event of a problem, a faulty device can be easily removed and its replacement can clone all system configurations from a neighbouring device on introduction to the network.

CANFORD OPTICALCON BREAKOUT BOXES Where multi-way fibre cables fitted with Neutrik Opticalcon Dual or Opticalcon Quad connectors are used to provide a point-to-point link, these break-out boxes split the two or four channels to a variety of other formats including Duplex LC, SC and ST connectors, depending on the model. The connectors are mounted in a rugged, extruded enclosure, suitable for use in broadcasting and live-event environments. Both multi-mode and single-mode types are offered.

SENKO MPO, ST, LC, SC SMART CLEANERS SENKO Smart Cleaners have been specifically designed to allow cleaning of fibre connections that reside in a bulkheads, adapters or faceplates without the need to remove the connector.

HDMI RANGE EXTENDING CABLES

OXLINX CABLES offer a considerably more efficient and cost-effective solution for long HDMI cable runs than Cat5E cable with converter box systems.

may include applications where cables must pass through congested and/or small apertures, such as internally wired brackets and mounts.

Custom screw-locking micro HDMI-D to HDMI-A adapters are supplied with LHM-P pluggable cables.

The active electronics, which convert the electrical signal to optical and back, are housed within the body of the HDMI connectors with minimal effect to the overall size (cross section of 19.6mm x 11.2mm).

They are intended for commercial AV and Broadcast installations where longer cable run lengths than those obtainable with standard copper HDMI cables are required. Applications may include professional AV systems interconnection, digital signage (DOOH) and kiosks, plus home theatre systems in larger properties.

Unlike many other HDMI range extending products, no external power supplies are required. OxLinx cables are powered via the HDMI sockets of the connected device and power consumption is low @ 0.5W.

EMI and RFI immunity makes them also useful where the cable needs to pass through environments with high electrical interference.

All cables have a dual rated jacket which conforms to both LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) and CMP-OF (UL Plenum) standards for use in public buildings.

OxLinx cables are HDMI 1.4 compliant and compatible with video resolutions up to and including 4K @ 30Hz, 1080p @ 60Hz Full HD deep colour 48bit, 3D and multi-channel embedded audio to include PCM 8 channel, Dolby Digital True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Contractor friendly, the cable diameter is only 3.4mm and comprises four optical fibres for the video and audio signals, six copper wires for HDMI control signaling and CEC functions. Kevlar reinforcement gives a pulling strength of 500N (50kg).

Two versions are offered, LHM-N terminated with standard HDMI Type-A connectors and LHM-P which are terminated with micro HDMI Type-D connectors. Also known as the “pluggable� versions, LHM-P cables were developed to aid fixed installation. The micro HDMI connectors reduce the likelihood of snagging as the cable is pulled through conduit, fed through voids or behind plaster board. Other benefits

AC MAINS POWER LEADS - IEC-LOCK+

These leads use patented female connectors with an internal locking mechanism which locks in an IEC power inlet, to provide a simple way of securing a power cable to any electrical equipment fitted with a standard IEC connector. They are invaluable for use with critical equipment, either free-standing or rack mounted and in areas subject to vibration such as ROV Control Cabinets where standard connectors may become dislodged in transit. Ready made cables are offered terminated to standard IEC male plugs, bare ends, and UK 13A and SCHUKO (right-angle) plugs.

The internal locking mechanism grips the equipment earth pin preventing accidental removal of the plug. The latch is released by an external sliding handle, which can be gripped from all sides and is pulled to release the connector from its socket. This design of release mechanism is particularly suitable for equipment with extremely closely spaced IEC outlets, such as 1U rackmount mains distributions units with 14 or 15 outlets, and some Dell and HP servers.

No separate release tool is required.

All styles use 10Amp, 3 x 1.0mm sq., HO5 VV-F cable. UK 13A mains plugs are fitted with a 5A fuse.

All leads are supplied individually loose-coiled to avoid permanent kinks and ensure tidy installation. Larger quantities may be available bulk packed, please contact sales.

Other lengths, coloured cable jackets and other types of moulded SCHUKO leads are available to special order, minimum order quantities may apply.

SCREEN BRACKETS PROFESSIONAL MOUNTLOGIC RANGE Designed for the professional installer, this range of mounts provides ‘simple, cost effective flat screen mounting solutions for commercial and public installations’. Fixed and tilting designs are ‘ladder’ style universal mounting brackets. A horizontal bar is attached to the wall; two vertical members attach to the screen which are then ‘hooked’ onto the bar. All hardware is included.

B-TECH FLAT SCREEN MOUNTS - TROLLEYS OR FLOOR STANDS For use in corporate, commercial and educational environments, these are suitable to support either one or two, depending on model, flat-screen displays, from 32 inches to over 65 inches diagonal. All offer cable management facilities and most can be used as a stand or trolley using either the castors or adjustable feet supplied.

The models differ principally in terms of maximum load, mounting compatibilities and whether they have the facility to tilt the screen. Most have either one or two steel poles which connect with a vestigial base. The screen(s) is mounted by means of various designs of hardware fixed to circular collars which grip the poles. These may be moved up and down the poles.

466 SERIES IP66 WALL CABINETS

Designed for use in outdoor open areas subject to the full force of the elements or harsh internal environments such as chemical plants and marine applications.

Manufactured in steel, offering sealing to IP66, the 466 series are available in three heights, two widths, three depths and three finishes. Finishes are Light grey, RAL 7035, powder coat, AISI 304 pre-grained stainless steel and AISI 316L pre-grained stainless steel. All units have a full steel, lockable front door offering both 130 degree opening and left or right operation.

Rack profiles are recessed 50mm or 100mm from the front depending on the model. Cable access is available on the base of the painted cabinets and these are supplied complete with one cover plate and polyethylene gasket to maintain IP66 sealing.

The H79 headphones have been in use in high ambient noise environments for many years and have an established reputation for effectiveness and comfort during extended use. Neck Band mount and Hard Had “clip-on” versions of the H79 headphones terminated with the J11 “Nexus” plug are available to special order.

LOUDSPEAKERS APART CEILING LOUDSPEAKERS - MARINE IP66 Apart CMAR ceiling speakers are intended for background music and paging in hot and humid locations such as leisure centres, bathrooms and maritime applications.

These ‘chlorine and salt water proof, two-way marine loudspeakers’ are IP65 rated. As such they are dust tight and will withstand water projected from any direction.

CMAR loudspeakers incorporate a durable ‘enforced ABS plastic frame’ and utilise stainless steel grilles. The choice of materials offers protection against rusting and facilitates their use in environments likely to experience extreme temperatures.
