Family That Shines: Epkarian Family
as far northeast as Pendleton, Bend, Redmond, Sisters and Sunriver, so families like Karrah’s can find community no matter where they live. While Karrah still receives periodic treatment and will do so until May of 2018, she is celebrating remission. She was one of the 2017 Honored Children that cyclists supported during Ride For A Child, one of Candlelighters signature fundraisers. As an Honored Child she had a team of cyclists that sent her letters and cards during their months of training and her determination and story inspired the team. For the cyclists and Karrah, it was a chance to build a relationship that can last years after the ride ends. Karrah’s favorite family activity is the snowmobile rides; while mom would say that the rest of the family loves Candlelighters Family Camp.
