From the moment he opened his eyes, so wide, She felt the world shift, her heart open wide Tiny hands wrapped around her thumb, A quiet promise, a lifetime begun.
She whispered dreams into midnight air, Held him close with a mother’s care. Through scraped-up knees and growing pains, Through lessons learned and summer rains.
He grew in height, in voice, in thought, But never strayed from what she taught. Respect, strength, and love run deep, Roots she planted he’ll always keep
And though he walks with steps his own, He carries her wherever he's grown In every triumph, every fight, He draws from her unwavering light
For no bond is deeper, no love more true, Than a son’s heart that beats with the rhythm of you Forever linked, not by chance but design, A mother and son, a love divine.

Still With You
from Martino, with love
Don’t cry too long, I’m still right here, In every laugh, in every tear
Though I’ve gone where angels stay, My love for you won’t drift away
I see you when you miss my face, When silence settles in my place. But I’m the breeze that warms your skin, The quiet strength you hold within
To my mom, my heart, my start, Your love still beats inside my heart. You raised me strong, you raised me kind, And now I’m held in peace divine
To my brothers and sisters too, Know there’s nothing I wouldn’t do To keep you safe, to help you shine A part of me lives in your climb.
To my friends and all I knew, Please don’t let the sadness stew Remember me in joy, not pain, In hooping nights or summer rain.
Though I’m not here the way I was, Our bond remains, it never pauses So live with light, and laugh out loud I’m watching, smiling, from the clouds
And when you dream or call my name, Know heaven listens just the same I’m not gone, I’ve just gone on, My love lives here, and carries on
