In just in the last decade, we’ve increased production by more than 50 per cent, as our government unveils for the first time the Critical Mineral Processing Fund to create incentives and more value-added jobs and we’re only getting started. This progress is powered by the drive and determination of the people in our mining sector. That’s why, in April, I introduced the Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act – a bold move to speed up the process of opening new mines. With our first-of-its-kind One Project, One Process framework, we’re going to slash red tape, streamline approvals, and get vital projects off the ground faster than ever before.
Our government remains committed to strengthening Ontario’s already robust extraction and processing sectors in addition to unlocking the Ring of Fire – a generational opportunity that will supercharge northern development, create thousands of good jobs, and inject billions into Ontario’s economy.
