Small Project Stream Impact overview Our Small Project Stream supports groups who are growing and expanding their projects. Grants of $15,000 are provided to support youth-led and youth-focused initiatives. CRE received 20 proposals from 7 Provinces and Territories, representing a request of $302,210 60% of applications were from unincorporated groups (including grassroots collectives, Youth Councils, small organizations, and community groups). Because these groups are not registered/incorporated, they face large barriers to access funding, particularly from mainstream funding streams. 60% of applicants had an annual budget of less than $100,000
The Small Project Funding Stream provided $130,500 in funding to 9 groups in 6 Provinces and Territories Grantees predominantly served either First Nations youth Projects were funded in Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Saskatchewan 56% of funded projects were focused on Youth and Community Wellness The 9 funded groups will collectively reach 1,219 youth and over 949 community members.
