A R O F Y D A E R G N I T GET

N I E V O M H T O O SM

For the most efficient move-in experience, all incoming residents must complete the following steps before Sunday, August 19th, 2026:

1) Sign up for Entrata: Entrata is our handy resident portal where you can manage your lease, pay rent, submit maintenance requests, and more. Please create your account as soon as you can here: Centennial Place's Entrata Resident Portal If you need any help, just email us at centennialplace@liveksc.ca — we’ve got your back! 2) Make your first payment: Before moving in, make sure your first payment is all set through Entrata. This will make things easy on move-in day.

3) Get renter’s insurance: We require all residents to have renter’s insurance — it’s there to protect you and your stuff if the unexpected happens (like theft, fire, or water damage). It also covers you if someone gets hurt in your unit or if accidental damage occurs. We’ve teamed up with Summit Insurance to offer affordable and student-friendly coverage. You can sign up quickly here: SUMMIT Insurance Important: This is different from your health insurance or the guard.me insurance you might have as an international student. And heads up — you won’t be able to get your keys without proof of active renter’s insurance on file. 4) Pack your essentials: Your room comes fully furnished, so no need to bring beds, desks, or dressers! Just bring your personal stuff — bedding, towels, toiletries, kitchen tools, and anything else you need to feel at home. Note: Mini fridges are only permitted with an approved medical accommodation. Want to add some personal touches or need anything extra? Check out MyDormStore.ca, a Canadian online store with everything for student living.

Once you complete the above requirements, you can move-in! You will be provided with your Welcome Envelope and Key Packs upon arrival.

*All items must be completed before move-in. Residents who have not completed them will be asked to do so before checking in.

LIVING WITH ROOMMATES Your Res Life journey starts now! Start a group chat and talk about suite arrangements, shared items (like kitchen supplies or boot mats), and move-in plans. You’ll avoid bringing duplicates—and it’s a great way to break the ice! Talk to your roommates before you move-in about common items you can share. For example, you may not want to end up with 4 sets of boot mats! See the “What to Bring” section of this Guide for some suggestions on what to pack. Bring the necessities only! Remember, your room is already furnished! We provide fully furnished accommodations, so some items are restricted. Please refer to your handbook as items such as couches, mattresses, and other soft furnishings will not be permitted. Roommate Agreement Once you’ve moved in, you’ll find a Roommate Agreement in your Welcome Package. This form must be completed with your roommates and submitted to your Floor RA within the first two weeks. You can keep a copy for your own reference. It’s a great way to set expectations and create a respectful living space from the start.

"Roommates by chance, Friends by choice" Start the year on the right foot with your roommates! You can surprise them with a welcome gift, and attend the Welcome Week events. Don't forget to establish your unit rules in the Roommate Agreement, and remember that communication is key!
