I love film, fashion and changing my hair colour (this was me as a blonde but I'm a redhead now!) so if you see a mop of red hair at the desk, that's me! Come say hi :)
June was a fun month full of activities and Pride! This is a very special issue for me since it's the first time I'm editing the newsletter. Summer in Toronto is made to be outside, if you like colourful art and walking, you definitely have to go see the Yorkville Murals. This is an annual event that celebrates contemporary muralism and public art. It's the perfect activity to be outdoors socially distanced while you enjoy an ice-cream or drink in this amazing weather.
You will find amazing murals full of colours that will give you the sensation of being in a movie where a musical scene is about to happen. Go get the perfect story for your Instagram or just fill with the great vibes you will get from appreciating this work of art!

WITH CA VASUNDHRA I am from India which is a land that represents ‘unity in diversity.
Hindi and English are the two official languages of India.
The Indian population is over a billion, divided into thousands of small ethnic and tribal groups who speak over 200 different languages.
The most traditional clothing for men is the 'dhoti' and for women the 'saree'

VASUNDHRA'S FAVOURITE PLACES TO VISIT IN INDIA. Ellora Caves One the largest rock-cut Hindu temple cave complexes in the world. It features artwork dating from the 600-1000 CE period. FUN FACT: these caves were crafted by hand, with only a hammer and chisel.
The Taj Mahal Designated by UNESCO as the 'jewel of Muslim art in India'. One of the most popular tourist destinations, this is a mausoleum on the southern bank of the river Yamuna in the city of Agra.
Golden Temple Also known as Harminder Sahib, is the most prominent religious place for Sikhs in the world. It is a symbol of universal equality and brotherhood. The temple is covered in gold, which makes it a treat to the eyes. CAMPUSONE CONNECT | 12

A Special Note from Simon On June 21, 2021, CampusOne recognized National Indigenous Peoples Day and broadcast the Summer Solstice Celebration from our second floor. The celebration is available for viewing on this link We are all struck by the impact of the history of residential schools in Canada and the long-lasting and ongoing impact. The starting point for true reconciliation is for all of us to understand that this has a multi-generational and ongoing impact. We invite all our residents who seek to have a greater understanding to take part in a free Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from the Faculty of Native Studies with the University of Alberta. You can find this link HERE As we move forward, CampusOne will continue to keep a sustained message of support and solidarity with our Indigenous peoples. 3 facts about July 1st you may not know As the rest of Canada celebrates with face painting and fireworks, Quebec opts for a mass exodus of apartments. In keeping with a decades-old tradition, most leases in La Belle Province expire July 1 To celebrate Canada’s big 100, residents of Nanaimo, B.C., transformed bathtubs into motorboats and raced 58 kilometres across the Georgia Strait to Vancouver. The bathtub races are now an annual event.
