1 2022 AUGUST MOVE IN GUIDE WELCOME HOME! Welcome Overview On behalf of the whole CampusOne team, thank you for choosing us as your new home away from home. We are excited to welcome you and be part of your academic journey. We understand that moving can be stressful, however, our aim is to make your experience smooth, efficient and as contactless as possible. In order to achieve this and help get you settled into your new home as quickly as possible, we ask for your assistance in completing the necessary pre requisites and adhering to the guidelines outlined in this document prior to check in: Our approach this year is as follows: • Communication We are here to answer your questions and provide as much information as we can. Please feel free to contact us at (647) 288 0827 or by email at campusone@studenthousing.com if you have any questions before your move in. • Respecting your time with an efficiency and a near contactless move in –To allow for a smooth move in process, you will be directed to complete and confirm your move in requirements prior to arriving and moving in. • First-In-Class Customer Service at Move-In: For those who complete the move in process you will experience a full service move in that will include: o Professional Movers, providing move In services including unloading and moving your personal affect up to your unit o A Residence Life welcome and entrance tour o Hospitality and welcome swag o No paperwork if you complete all the required move in process prior to your arrival (see Page 3) o Free one day parking off site • Minimizing Risk CampusOne recognizes the ongoing importance of reducing the spread of COVID 19. The health of all residents and staff is always our top priority. While there are no restrictions in Ontario, should you wish to wear a mask please feel free.

3 2022 AUGUST MOVE IN GUIDE EFFICIENT MOVE-IN Move-In Day Requirements For the most efficient move in experience and a near contactless move in, all incoming residents must have provided all the following prior to Monday, August 29th, 2022. Please complete all these steps: 1) Provide Proof of Insurance. This can be sent to the CampusOne inbox prior to your arrival (campusone@studenthousing.com) 2) Complete the Online Move In Form. You must have completed your Online Move in Form. This will save you much time on your move in. 3) Book Your Time of Arrival. You will have a confirmed move in Date and Time through our Move In Reservation Date and Time Booking Form. NOTE: All three items above must be completed before you can move in. If you satisfy the above items, you’ll be permitted to move in! You will be provided your welcome envelope and Key Packs upon arrival. Once in your room we ask that you complete an online Unit Condition Form. Please note that no one can check in on your behalf. *All items of the Efficient move in must be completed PRIOR to your moving in .

• Water in the bathroom, should you not place a shower curtain properly over time this can leak to the unit below. Prior to moving in, be sure to have your mandatory liability insurance. If you do not have insurance, you can simply visit the property dedicated APOLLO Insurance website at, https://info.apollocover.com/campusone and purchase the coverage you need.

• Water Damage Coverage can protect you if you accidentally trip the sprinkler head and the water destroys your stuff and causes damage to the building.

Renters Insurance Is Required: As noted in the lease agreement, CampusOne does not assume any liability for unintentional damage(s) or loss(es) that occur to the building and personal property of residents. The choice of your insurance carrier is yours to make, yet insurance is required.

In an effort to ensure that our residents are protected while living in with us, we have collaborated with APOLLO Insurance to directly provide access to convenient coverage that can be purchased online in just Dependingminutes.

• Damage and/or Stolen Valuables Coverage can protect you if you forget your laptop in the library as you grab lunch, to later find that it is stolen.

• Fire or Smoke Coverage can protect you if you return to your apartment after class to find that someone accidentally caused a fire, causing damage to your clothes, books and electronics.

5 2022 AUGUST MOVE IN GUIDE ROOM ASSIGNMENTS Pack Smart and Communicate with your Roommates Talk to your roommates before you move in about common items you can share. For example, you may not want to end up with 4 sets of boot mats! See the “What to Bring” section for some suggestions on what to pack. Gather the necessities only! Please Do NOT bring a moving truck or trailer attached to your vehicle. Due to the limited space for unloading and parking vehicles, we cannot accommodate large moving trucks or trailers in the unloading area. Remember, your room is already furnished! Our resident handbook, provided to you through The University of Toronto, outlines what you can and can not bring. We provide fully furnished accommodations so some items are restricted. Please refer to your handbook as items such as couches, mattresses, and other soft goods will not be permitted.

Elevators cannot be reserved and residents should expect longer than normal wait times during move Wein. understand that not all residents will be able to move in on the selected dates. The Late Arrival Form will allow you to provide what your plans will be for your arrival date and time. Please let us know if you plan to arrive later than your scheduled move in date after September 4, 2022, you can do this by filling out Late Arrival Form

Please complete the form’s the best of your ability so that we can assure you have someone to welcome you to CampusOne.

On September 1st,2nd,3rdand 4th, we have a VIP move in experience this year, where movers will assist with delivering your items to your door. This will help expedite your move in. Mover will be assigned their own elevator to expedite delivery of your items to your front door. Mover will deliver your items to your suite and you must be in your suite ready to accept your belongings! Once you select a move in date and time, we will confirm via email with additional move in procedures.

6 2022 AUGUST MOVE IN GUIDE RESERVE YOUR MOVE-IN TIME To ensure a First Class Move-In Reserving Your Move-In Time To avoid overcrowding, we are opening up arrival dates for move in. Currently we are opening up move in slots for: • September 1, 2022 • September 2, 2022 • September 3, 2022 • September 4, 2022 In order to prepare for your move in, we ask you to fill out and confirm your move in Date and Time through our Move In Reservation Date and Time Booking Form.

CampusOne has a large loading driveway / dock that you will need to pull into to check in and unload your items (Please see page 9) Know your booked arrival time & please arrive on time to move in We will have staff to direct you at arrival, via our loading dock lanes. Staff will direct you to one of the 5 loading spots. You will be required to stay in your vehicle during step one.

Due to the number of residents moving in during a short period, it is VERY important that these steps are followed. If you have any questions, please let us know, we are happy to assist you and guide you in the right direction.

Residents will require to identify themselves using government issued ID. Staff will process your move in at the loading dock.

You will be provided with your Welcome Packet. The Packets will include your Suite/Unit Keys. We ask that only one person accompany you up to your unit and room. You will be required to empty and move your vehicle. Movers will load your belongings into loading Youcarts.and your plus one will be directed to make your way into the building and up to your unit, while your luggage will be transported directly to your suite/unit outer door

You will be required to move your vehicle from the loading dock as quickly as soon as your vehicle is Ifempty.youare arriving by car, CampusOne will have temporary parking availability at the HURON street location (See map on Page 12). Our welcome team will register your car for parking for your arrival day. Overnight and multiple day parking will be at your own risk.

If you are arriving at a later date, we will not have movers to assist your move you will be required to transport your own items to your unit.

The unloading area will be on the main loading dock and tenants will be required to move their vehicles immediately after they have been unloaded. Parking in the loading dock cannot exceed 10 minutes. Residents are responsible for the cost of city parking. If If parking is required we will record your license and vehicle and we will provide directions to off property parking that is simply around the corner from the CampusOne

CampusOne is in a city centre location, so please follow all municipal signs and traffic by laws. Please do not block bike lanes in front of CampusOne.

The CampusOne Residence Council will consist of residents just like you! At your first in person or virtual floor meeting, elections for floor representatives will be held. As part of the Residence Council, you will be able to use your voice to represent your fellow residents and ensure a living environment that is conducive to academic, personal, and social development.

Our goal is to provide the highest level of student service to our residents while providing a residential environment conducive to academic and personal success. The foundation of this service is to provide functional, comfortable living accommodations where students may rest, socialize and study.

In addition, we are abiding by the City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 709 Smoking that prohibits smoking within 9 metres of an entrance or exit of any multi residential building.
