Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and finding your rhythm here at CampusOne . Whether you’ve just moved in or you’ve been around for a while, it’s so nice to share this space with all of you. Living here is about being part of a community. From late-night study sessions to hanging out at events, these moments are what make life here special. We want this newsletter to keep you in the loop about what’s going on, highlight some fun things to check out, and share tips to make residence life a little easier. We’re excited to see what this month has in store! See you around,

Carolina Arizmendi Assistant Residence Life Coordinator carizmendi@liveksc.ca

The Resident Handbook describes policies that act as an addendum to the policies laid out in your Lease Agreement. Take time to familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations as both you and your guests are responsible for following them. Community Standards are necessary for the smooth functioning of any community. CampusOne, believes that Residents have the right to an environment in which they can excel academically, personally, socially, and live comfortably.

Living with roommates is tough. Everybody is raised differently and personalities can often rub up against one another. Your roommate might not be your best friend, and that’s okay! The important thing is to make sure you can respect one another and live together peacefully.

If you face any roommate conflicts during the year here is what you should do:

ROOMM 1 Firstly, make sure you and your roommates had the chance to discuss and complete the roommate agreement. We provided this document at start of the term. You can also ask for it to the front desk or one of your Dons.

MATE agreement 2 Communicate with you roommates & try to find a solution that accommodates both of you.

If the problem persists, contact your floor CA and set a meditation to help solve the problem. Feel free to contact management if the problem escalates, the Resident Life Coordinator, Cristina Aranda, will schedule a meeting with you.
