National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month in Montreal, celebrating the rich culture, heritage, and resilience of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

A day trip to Kahnawá:ke

Only 30 minutes away from Montreal is the Kanien’kehá:ka reserve of Kahnawá:ke.In recent years, the community has started offering cultural tours, traditional arts and crafts, an annual Pow Wow, and, of course, incredible food and drinks—all set against lush greenery and stunning views of the St. Lawrence River.
