We would like to welcome you to the Borderland Cattle Company annual bull sale, we enjoy the education that we get year after year breeding and raising purebred cattle. This year we along with Dry Fork have put together an excellent set of bulls that we believe will work well in any program. Our program is designed to build the best bulls we can that will work well for you, our customer. Our bulls are built on real numbers that will calve easy, grow fast and top the market in the fall. The bulls are fed to grow naturally and meet a targeted gain of 3 to 3.5 lbs rate of gain per day. We develop them to the best of our ability so they will last and make you money. We are so thankful for all the producers who have supported our program and made the sale a success.

Please bring suitable footwear to wear when viewing the bulls prior to the sale in the pens they have been wintered in. DVAuction will be broadcasting our sale and bidding can be done online. If you are not able to attend the sale, we would be happy to assist you in any way we can to make purchasing a bull stress free.

We retain 1/3 interest and the right to draw semen on any of the Borderland Cattle Company bulls at our expense and your convenience. We will provide whatever assistance we can for delivery. We will keep the bulls until May 1 at no charge. There will be a boarding cost after May 1.

Lot 50 and Lot 51 come out of our embryo program. Their dam also came out of our embryo program.

We always admired their mother and her full brother Borderlands Mack 138R which we used extensively in the past. A full sister to these bull calves, Borderlands Essence 9E, was the Supreme Champion Female at the 4-H Regional Show in Swift Current in 2018. 9E and her bull calf returned to the pen show in 2019 and were picked as the Grand Champion Cow with bull calf.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque. Settlement to be made immediately after the completion of the sale, payable at par to Borderland Cattle Company. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. All monies are in Canadian funds.

BIDDING: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder ... no by-bidding will be permitted.

DISPUTES: Bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved in a dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printer matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.

BREEDERS GUARANTEE, BULLS: Should any bull (14) fourteen months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on females known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within (6) six months following the date of purchase or (6) six months after the bull has reached (14) fourteen months of age. The seller will have the right of privilege of (6) six months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. In no event will the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold nor for sickness not apparent at sale time.

EXCEPTION GUARANTEE: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

HEALTH: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of the buyers, neither auctioneer or seller assume any responsibility in the matter and disclaim any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or loss of property.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS: The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.
