Four years ago our parent company Cool Broadcasting saw a need for a daily newsletter that focused on the country music industry for the canadian market.

The concept was to bring radio stations, associations, management companies, labels and all involved with the country music industry. In each daily issue we bring news from indie artists, emerging artists, major festivals, who is touring, our daily DMDS Top 5 Downloads and news from Nashville. The daily newsletter has been very successful reaching over 500 industry people daily and our open rate is over 90% daily. We also showcase videos that are of interest to our readers.

On August 16th we launched our weekly Canada Country Aircheck Digital magazine. This gives us the opportunity of bringing more in-depth articles and coverage of events. We also are able to spotlight more new indie artists and their music. In each issue we bring readers our cover story, a weekly DMDS top downloads for the week report, in-depth articles on new music, new artists and established artists. We have our radio news, news from Nashville and more.

We have changed our weekly release date to Monday mornings. Our reach for the digital magazine has been huge. As an example the readership for this weeks issue is 1,500 people have read the issue on Monday alone. We promote the issue in each days daily newsletter so we expect these numbers to climb by the end of the week. The cool thing is our readers are reading on their smartphones (45%) desktop (51%) and on tablets (4%). Our reach is mainly across Canada but we are also reaching readers in Nashville Great Britain and France with a few coming from Australia.

In is so important for an artist to promote their single to radio people. The best way to do this is to keep your name and face in front of PD’s and MD’s. This will help your tracker when they are talking to radio programmers. We understand the budget restraints

We have devoped an online national radio station called Go Country. We are not a Mom and Pop operation we have years of experience in the radio business. We understand and know what draws fans to tune in.
