THE BEAVER: SUMMER 2026 EDITION DISTRIBUTED ACROSS CANADA The semi-annual print edition of our employee newsletter, The Beaver, is being distributed across Canada. Office and warehouse employees will receive copies from their local Human Resources group.

Drivers and retirees will receive copies via mail to their home addresses.

If you haven't received one, please contact your local Human Resources department to obtain a copy and confirm your home mailing address for future editions. You can also view The Beaver online at http://radiushub/radiushub/App/Corporate#!/magazine.

TRUE NORTH ABOVE AND BEYOND WINNERS The True North program recognizes company drivers and staff demonstrating outstanding customer service, teamwork, and core values. The program encourages managers, supervisors, and co-workers to acknowledge employees with specially designed recognition cards and certificates.

Quarterly, a team in each region (B.C., Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec) reviews all submissions and looks for our staff's exemplary actions. Those who have gone "Above and Beyond" will receive a $50.00 gift certificate. There are multiple awards per region each quarter.

Quarter 2 "Above and Beyond" Winners of $50.00 Gift Certificates The committee reviewed all submissions and chose the following employees for last quarter's "Above and Beyond Award".

Liz Wright, Safety & Compliance Supervisor & Amee Boughner, Fleet Coordinator, London, Ontario Liz and Amee were nominated for their collaboration, initiative, and determination in solving a long-standing theft issue at our London facility.

Working closely with Operations and the Ontario Safety & Compliance team, they developed and implemented a strategic plan to secure the site, monitor activity, and gather the evidence needed to stop the thefts. Their teamwork and persistence led to the successful apprehension of the individual responsible, protecting company assets and bringing an end to a problem that had impacted the business for several years.

eBeaver: page 3 of 35 Albert McEyeson, Company Driver, Edmonton, Alberta Albert was nominated for his passion for developing people and his commitment to raising standards across the team. He leads by example, generously sharing his knowledge and expertise while building the confidence of those around him. His hands-on approach and genuine enthusiasm for teaching have inspired drivers to seek out opportunities to learn from him actively. Through his leadership, Albert is helping create stronger drivers, fostering continuous learning, and making a lasting positive impact on the team.

Lee DiCesare, Terminal Manager, Mississauga (Davand), Ontario Lee was nominated for going above and beyond to support one of his long-time drivers during a difficult time. When he learned the driver required emergency surgery and had exhausted his sick and vacation time, Lee immediately helped him navigate the short-term disability process.

Knowing the driver and his family had limited access to transportation and printing, Lee personally delivered the required paperwork, walked him through the application, and ensured he could access the financial support he needed while recovering. His compassion, initiative, and genuine care demonstrated what it truly means to be part of the Canada Cartage family.

Stephanie Pavao, Planner, Guelph, Ontario A customer recognized Stephanie for her exceptional service, responsiveness, and commitment to finding solutions.

She consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate customer needs, proactively identifies alternative solutions when challenges arise, and helps ensure customer expectations are exceeded. Always approachable and willing to help —even outside of regular business hours—Stephanie's positive attitude and dedication make her a trusted partner and play an important role in our customers' success.

Congratulations to all of our Above and Beyond winners! As quarterly winners, their names were entered into the mix to be considered as one of our 2027 President's Award winners.

President's Award In January of each year, the True North team, along with the executive team, reviews all quarterly Above and Beyond winners from the prior year. Three winners are selected for the annual President's Award. The winners receive a monetary award, along with a plaque and a personalized letter from President Scott Lane.

First Place: $5,000 + plaque + congratulatory letter Second Place: $2,500 + plaque + congratulatory letter Third Place: $1,000 + plaque + congratulatory letter *Please note: the monetary awards are treated as a taxable benefit by the C.R.A. and are subject to income taxes.

CANADA CARTAGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM – INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION At Canada Cartage, investing in people is one of our core commitments.

That commitment extends beyond the workplace by supporting the educational goals of our employees' families and helping the next generation achieve their potential.

Applications for the 2026 Canada Cartage Scholarship Program open in August. For more than 65 years, we've proudly recognized the academic achievements of our employees' children through this long-standing program.

What's New This Year We're excited to expand the program to provide even more opportunities for students: Ten Grade 12 scholarships of $500 each will be awarded to the top applicants.

Grade 12 scholarship recipients who provide proof of enrolment in a post-secondary institution will receive an additional $300.

Ten post-secondary undergraduate scholarships will be awarded to the top undergraduate applicants.

Scholarship Categories Scholarships are awarded to the top applicants across Canada in the following categories: Grade 9: $300 awarded to the top 5 applicants Grade 10: $300 awarded to the top 5 applicants Grade 11: $300 awarded to the top 5 applicants Grade 12: $500 awarded to the top 10 applicants, plus an additional $300 upon proof of enrolment in a postsecondary institution Post-Secondary Undergraduate: $500 awarded to the top 10 undergraduate applicants The application deadline is September 15.

THINK BEFORE YOU PLUG IT IN Recently, a team member received a USB device in official-looking packaging with a letter. Although it appeared legitimate, it was identified as a potential phishing and malware scam.

The employee did exactly the right thing—they didn't plug it in, reported it to IT, and the device was safely discarded. Because they took the time to pause and ask, there was no impact to our business.

Remember: Never plug in a USB device you weren't expecting or don't recognize.

If you receive one, report it to IT immediately.

When in doubt, don't plug it in—ask first.

Cybersecurity is everyone's responsibility. Small actions like this help protect our people, our customers, and our business.

Canada Cartage is hiring a full-time Class 1 Driver in Laval. This day shift position lets you be home every night while earning $30 per hour and receiving a $2,000 signing bonus. You'll make local and regional deliveries, operate a 53-foot trailer with a tailgate and Moffett, handle products manually, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
