Outdoor activities in schoolyards, in backyards, at the lake, on the streets, or the garden or in farm fields alike, have been impacted greatly this year due to interesting weather.
Various City of Camrose roadway improvements have been impacted by numerous soggy days. This season’s street and sidewalk improvements, valued at approximately $3 million, have seen minor or major timeline setbacks. Weather challenges have been a major factor in the Camrose airport resurfacing project. One of the most visible projects in this summer’s street enhancement initiative, is a complete rebuild of the service road along 48 avenue between Fas Gas and Camrose Motorsports. Over five days have been lost, thus far, on this $970,000 project as periods of extended rain have forced halts to workdays for frustrated crews.
