All in a day's work at
Terry Vickers, coordinator of Recycle with Centra Cam, is proud of his team and the work they do to contribute to a greener planet.
The efforts of the staff, facility and funding behind Recycle with Centra Cam can be directly attributed to keeping a mini-mountain of product out of the local landfills every year. The scene above displays just one day's volume of cardboard left at the depot. In 2018, 1,140 metric tonnes of cardboard brought to Recycle with Centra Cam were able to be saved for new uses, thanks to this well-utilized program. On a busy Saturday, 12 bales of compressed cardboard will be saved. A record day last December saw a whopping 21 bales of cardboard being saved from area landfills. In just five months this year, 733 bales of cardboard have already been recycled. Recycle with Centra Cam staff are equally busy in other areas.
