Representing Camrose and District Community Band: Tom Spila – Director, Norman Skretting – Business Manager, Valerie Sims – Vice President and Ray Hook – President.

Camrose and District Community Band has had a successful season, not the least of which was an opportunity to perform on the stage at the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre back in late March. The band is made up of talented local amateur musicians and several University of Alberta Augustana Campus students. The group rehearses one evening each week in the band room at CCHS from September through May. It’s a way for high school and university players and aspiring musicians to continue their hobby in music. Beginners have been introduced into the field of music this season, too! The 2016/17 season for the Camrose and District Community Band will come to a conclusion on Tuesday, May 23. Bring your lawn chairs and come listen to a free concert in the park (next to the playground) at the Bill Fowler Centre in Camrose at 7:30 p.m. on May 23.
