The Camrose Regional Exhibition is the site chosen for The Open Door's 6th annual Bed Race. It will take place on Saturday, October 29, with judging of the racing-beds being held at 12:30 p.m. At about 1:00 p.m. you'll hear words to this effect:

"Ladies and Gentlemen:

START YOUR BEDS! Let the first race begin!"

Teams of five individuals will be designing beds, collecting pledges and racing their finished products. All money raised will go towards supportive housing in a quest to provide a temporary overnight stay to youth from our community who are at risk. From the start of 2011, until the end of June, The Open Door has provided 675 beds to 45 Camrose youth. In addition, 175 meals were also provided to youth in need.
