Hauser Home Hardware Building Centre is again the successful recipient of a Tree Canada greening or reforestation grant. This year, on Tuesday, September 20, 60 more trees will be planted on the perimeter of Camrose Minor Soccer fields in Rudy Swanson Park. This is the third consecutive year that the Hauser team with volunteer help has worked with Tree Canada to volunteer in planting trees bordering local soccer pitches. In the previous two years, Hauser staff and a variety of partners have planted 120 trees!
National Tree Plant Day in Canada is September 21, 2011.
Providing assistance to the Hauser staff in this impressive undertaking on this day will be The Camrose Junior A Kodiaks, The City of Camrose, Camrose Minor Soccer Association and Forster Nurseries. Tree Canada’s established goals with initiatives such as this project include: cleaner air, increased wildlife habitat, additional connectivity with nature and reduced demand on energy consumption. This program has allowed for the beautification and desirability of the green space of the City of Camrose.
