The challenge got underway last Friday evening in front of an industry-respected panel of judges and a decent-sized crowd, despite inclement weather. Next performances will be June 15 and June 22. All participating bands benefit via constructive critiques from the judging panel, an opportunity to participate in industry seminars on writing music, performing before the public and advancing in a music career. The winner of Battle of the Bands will be awarded a Yamaha P.A. system. The band which is awarded 2nd place honours will take home a Studio mic kit. No admission is charged to attend Battle of the Bands.
