Journey along the Silk Route Spring / Summer 2019 Collection

Evoking the romantic notion of trade and travel across the Silk Route, Bedeck of Belfast introduces its bed and bath collection for Spring / Summer 2019. Four new designs take inspiration from the historic journey from the Far East to Belfast which saw a golden age in textile trade and became known as ‘Linenopolis’.

“Our design team has honed in on the trading routes of this evocative era to reinterpret timeless techniques and intricate craftsmanship. The striking prints and patterns have been updated with a fresh and soothing colour palette, ideal for today’s contemporary home.”

Cadenza The influence for Cadenza originated in Asia with a striking ikat print in rich indigo and ivory undertones that is offset by a batik style reverse. The bedding is complemented by sumptuous quilted pillows and a thick decorative throw, whilst graphic print curtains complete the look.

Zeya Zeya features an ethnic ikat pattern synonymous with a traditional Uzbek dyeing technique. In a refreshing spring colour palette of green, aqua and dove grey, the bedlinen pairs with a richly embroidered cushion and hand-stitched quilt, ideal for a simple seasonal update.

Allegro In classical damask style, Allegro brings the grandeur and luxury of Venetian opulence to the bedroom.

Elegantly coloured in mauve and silver with a sumptuous jacquard weave, the bedlinen can be layered up with a soft knit throw or embroidered cushion and quilted throw.

Eris The Eris bedlinen is inspired by the decorative beauty of Persian tile work in a soothing blue colour palette.

Matching curtains and a quilted throw accentuate the artistry of the bedding whilst the embroidered stripe stitch cushion brings a contemporary edge to the look.

Cadenza Towels In a similar vein to the hypnotic ikat pattern of the Cadenza bedlinen, the range of terry towels feature a contemporary ikat yarn dye that is brought to life by blue and navy hues, trimmed with a navy hem.

Zeya Towels Inspired by an Uzbekistan ikat pattern, Zeya is a rich yarn dye velour towel. The harmonious colour palette of teal, chartreuse and ivory creates an eye-catching ombre effect that is finished with a jacquard woven hem.
