Winaukee Family, As winter blankets the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and the lake freezes over (can you believe that Jeff can drive his truck across the lake right now?!), we find joy in the memories from Summer 2023 at Camp Winaukee. With a lineup of new waterfront and team activities, returning staff, new staff, boats leadership improvements to our Ninja and Ropes courses and a re-vamped menu, our commitment to providing a safe and fun-filled environment for your son remains unwavering. CAMPER UPDATES Our campers have been up to some exciting adventures over the past few months. It might be cold outside but many of our campers love to stay active throughout the winter as they play indoors sports or hit the slopes outdoors!
Aaron Dilk is enjoying skiing and working towards his end of year black belt test in TaeKwonDo. When not skiing or practicing his forms, he's busy text drawing comics and enjoying his text favorite manga, One Piece! Clark text Gelles has also spent some time on text the slopes this winter. His family did Director's Letter about people feel so confident in the peopletake we have a break from the cold weather to returning staff, new staff, leadership team relax on the beach and enjoy some scuba diving ... sounds awesome!
Kauffman Hopkins played fall baseball this year and has loved following the Kansas City Chiefs football team. He was even lucky enough to travel all the way to Las Vegas to watch his team play! Excited for his own first ever Northeast winter, Jack Friend moved from Montana to Westport, CT this fall and can’t wait to see his camp buddies a little more often!
CAMPER UPDATES Hayden Theall turned 14 at the end of December, Happy Birthday Hayden! Charlie Dearman and Tristan Boyd joined him for a Birthday Hibachi dinner! Both Kain and Bryson Killian are playing basketball this winter, snowboarding as much as they can and spending time with friends. text text text text Director's Letter about people feel so confident in the people we have returning staff, new staff, leadership team
Rhys Rothstein enjoyed a successful fall baseball season with his dad, Judd, coaching the team to a winning season. Mario Watson even made the trip to cheer the team on! Rhys traveled with his family to Paris for Thanksgiving where he loved taking in the amazing sights, eating plenty of crepes and visiting local museums. Everett Brachle and Ryder Peate played on the same flag football team this fall (the Browns) and won the Super Bowl! They had a blast playing together and can’t wait for more victories this summer at Winaukee.
CAMPER UPDATES Jack and Lucas Bacon loved celebrating on the football field after an awesome UNC victory over Duke. Leonidas and Cornelius Funke traveled to the Dolmites in Italy with their family over the winter text for some relaxing family break text time on the slopes. Julius text Rendtorff and Leopold text Muhle spent their Christmas Director's Letter about people Holidays in the mountains Austria enjoyed the feel so confident of in the peopleand we have returning staff, newactivities staff, leadership snow and outdoor very team much. They boys can’t wait to make the journey from Germany to America this summer for camp! Oscar and Thor Jepsen also spent time on a family trip over the holidays, enjoying beautiful weather and plenty of sunshine in Scottsdale, Arizona. A highlight of their holidays was definitely the Christmas Eve Jets game the boys attended. Luke Bowman’s baseball team got second place in the play-off games this season. One of the games Luke took home the “Game Necklace” because he made the last run to home base for the win. Nice job Luke!
EUROPE ROH’D TRIP We will be attending a number of staff and camper recruiting fairs and events throughout Europe in late January. We’d love to connect with our community in these places as well. Save the date and keep an eye out for further details!
