Dear Camp Winaukee Families,
As your son ’ s experience at Winaukee draws closer by the day, we know that last minute questions and concerns commonly arise. This packet contains information about many frequently asked questions this time of year.
We look forward to seeing many of you on arrival day and giving your sons an incredible summer experience. All families are invited to join us on Saturday, July 20th for our Family Visiting Day. There is nothing quite like standing on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and experiencing camp alongside your son. Please RSVP via the form in your MyWinaukee account so we know to expect you.
Please reach out if we can be helpful in any way over the coming days.

If your son is a new camper - please plan to have him wearing a 'buff' (yellow) Winaukee t-shirt on arrival day.
Please be on time. If you experience delays - call 800.487.9157.
Please prepare a bag lunch & beverage for your son to have during the ride to camp. Do not include any food that contains nuts (including peanut butter). Any late information or messages to the Directors must be sent via email. We simply can't remember last minute instructions mentioned at the bus. While duffels must be sent to camp ahead of time, campers may bring a backpack or small bag on the bus.
Sports equipment and musical instrucments can go under the bus if the item can't fit in a duffel.
If you have any questions at the bus, look for our staff members who will be wearing Camp Winaukee staff t-shirts.
Under no circumstances should any parent or relative board the bus to assist a child or say 'goodbye'. This only makes separation harder for the child as well as other campers already on the bus.
If you child experiences motion sickness, PLEASE provide him with Dramamine or other medication 30 minutes prior to departure.

Mail
It is important that your son receives mail white at camp and we suggest you send the first letter several days before his arrival. Campers love receiving letters AND often 'forget' or are 'too busy' to respond. We will remind the boys this is a responsibility they have to you. Please send stamped/addressed envelopes and extra stamps/stationery with your son.
