Join us Saturday, September 9, 2017 when Children’s Association for Maximum Potential honors Mrs. Vivian Vance and Ms. Vanessa Vance at the 9th Annual Starry Night CAMP Gala.
“We are thrilled to recognize the Vances at this year’s gala.” said Executive Director, Susan Osborne. “We are grateful for their tremendous support of CAMP and the special needs community.” The event, will be held at the San Antonio Country Club, beginning at 6 pm with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and a short program. The gala supports CAMP’s summer and school-year programs. Each session, CAMP transforms into a new and exciting American vacation destination, as we make our way from the Grand Canyon in Arizona to Orlando, Florida… CAMP-Style. This amazing trip is filled with thrilling
sights, sounds, tastes, and adventures around every corner. Our Campers will experience wonder, as they redefine possible and reach their Maximum Potential all summer long! CAMP Gets Its Fiesta On at the Texas Cavaliers’ River Parade It was a Kaleidoscope of fun on April 24th, as CAMP set out on a trip down the San Antonio River in the Texas Cavaliers’ Fiesta River Parade! The magical evening was filled with vibrant colors, festive music, and thousands of spectators. In keeping with the theme of CAMP’s float, A Kaleidoscope of Children’s Books, Campers, volunteers, and staff donned costumes from well known Children’s Literature. Characters from Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Cat in the Hat, Raggedy Ann and Andy, The Wizard of Oz, and Where’s Waldo waved to parade goers and raised awareness for individuals with special needs. “Everyone had a great time in the parade,” said Camp Director, Ben Elble. “It’s an experience our campers will never forget!” To watch a video of the event click here.
Cruising for Campers Shoreside Travel with Houston Fan Cruise lll, and CAMP invite you to get away from it all, April 22-29, 2018, aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas on a Fan Cruise to the Caribbean! Houston Fan Cruise lll, known for their commitment to supporting the local community, will donate a portion of each ticket sold to Children’s Association for Maximum Potential. “it’s an honor that Houston Fan Cruise lll selected CAMP to benefit from this cruise,” said Executive Director, Susan Osborne. “We are inspired by the unique way CAMP contributes to the lives of individuals with special needs,” said Shoreside Travel Owner/Manager
David Glenn, who is also a Certified Accessible Travel Advocate. “We hope this year’s cruise will help CAMP both monetarily and by raising awareness.” The ship will depart from the Port of Galveston, Texas on April 22, 2018, and visit Costa Maya, Mexico, Cozumel, Mexico, and the island of Roatan, Honduras. All fans will receive exclusive bonus inclusions. Perks include: exclusive group events onboard ship, a shore excursion in Cozumel or Costa Maya (TBD), swag items for all fans and a
discount on deposits made by July 5, 2017!
